Tanisha Katara is the Founder and CEO of Katara Consulting Group (KCG), a blockchain consulting firm that helps protocols solve their hardest structural problems: Governance, Tokenomics, Staking design, Node operations and Go-to-market.

Katara Consulting Group (KCG) works with blockchain protocols, DAOs, governments and applications. Clients include Polygon Labs, Filecoin Foundation, Avail, Mina Foundation (Via Aragon), Liberdus, Juno Finance and several DAO tooling companies.
The work covers governance system design, crypto economic modeling, staking and validator frameworks, treasury management, fee modeling, regulatory strategy, and go-to-market. Tanisha tends to think that working across this range, from protocol economics to user experience, leads to better solutions. Everything connects.
At Polygon, she spent over two and a half years leading governance innovation: redesigning their governance system, launching the Governance Hub, helping create a protocol council, building validator admission frameworks, and facilitating economic research for AggLayer. At Avail, she designed Governance V1, published the whitepaper for Avail Fusion, and currently leads go-to-market research. For Mina Foundation, she recommended a treasury management framework with economic simulations and attack vector mapping.
Research & Speaking
She co-authored a first-of-its-kind research study on blockchain voting with Wenxuan Deng, David Hamoui, and Mateusz Rzeszowski. Her interview on AI and Blockchain was covered by Daily AI, and she was profiled in Blockchain Life as a featured speaker.
She has spoken at ETH CC, Devconnect and other forums.
Before Blockchain
Tanisha spent her career in strategy before moving into blockchain full-time. At Harappa Education, she led a women's empowerment program that reduced attrition by 29% in one quarter. At Furlenco, she ran customer insights: predicting churn with ML, leading retention strategy across India, and spending time following delivery trucks to understand last-mile problems firsthand.
She's a Young India Fellow from Ashoka University and graduated summa cum laude with a President's gold medal from KL University. In her early 20s, she represented India at UNLEASH 2019 in China, working on Sustainable Development Goals.
Outside Work
When she's not working, she's usually underwater on a dive or trekking to a summit. She also teaches life skills in local schools. In an alternate universe, she's playing with her favourite elephant, Mona.
